Research Associate / Post-Doctoral Fellow: The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System's Aphasia Research Laboratory & Clinic, in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Communication Science and Disorders is seeking a full-time Research Associate or a Post-Doctoral Fellow to coordinate and collaborate on a research project investigating attentional mechanisms of language performance in normal elderly and persons with aphasia. This is a 3-year position with a desired start date of April 1, 2004. This individual will report directly to the Principal Investigator of the project and will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of and participation in the project and developing a line of related research. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, and have the following preferred qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Neuropsychology, Cognitive Psychology, or a related health profession with experience in adult/geriatric neurological conditions and research.
